| Psalms 33:1-3 says to "Rejoice in the Lord, O Ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto Him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto Him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise." |
Our worship team here at Church on the Hill defines success as "consistently encountering the presence of God in each of our weekly services." We believe that it is the function of the worship team to be the first to facilitate this encounter each week through songs of worship and praise. We enjoy a contemporary style of worship, however, the music and songs that we enjoy are used not as an attraction but rather as an expression of our hearts directed to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The COTH family places great emphasis on musical worship because as we read in Psalms 33 (stated above), the Lord desires that we rejoice and praise Him in that manner. Subsequently, the COTH worship team is committed to living righteous and upright lives before our Father, as well as, worshiping Him in the way that Psalms 33:1-3 instructs us to.
