Worship Ministry

On earth each one of us has the chance to choose the best. Created by Him, for Him; the best for us is to become like Him. In His mercy, the Lord invites us to worship Him, knowing that He designed us to become like what we worship. In ministering to the Lord we discover both our purpose and our identity. With continuous expressions of worship and praise we fill our lives with the substance of His presence. Heaven invades earth and the atmosphere of our life is filled with Him.

At Church on the Hill, we believe that our highest calling and our greatest opportunity is to live as ministers to the Lord. Our offerings are sound, song, movement and melody. His response is righteousness, peace and joy poured out with no measure.

His presence is everything.

Project T.A.G.

Talk About God

Our goal is to teach kids that talking about God is not just a grownup thing; it's a kid thing too! Teaching and encouraging them to have a growing desire for the knowledge of God, and a passion and love for him and his work. We also equip them with what they need to know about God in every aspect of their life, so that we can reach their generation before they need to be rescued.

Each Sunday after our Praise and Worship service kids ages 6 thru 12 are dismissed to the TAG Service. The kids are encouraged to participate in an interactive environment where they are taught through songs, games, and memory verses. Our staff of qualified volunteers are committed to the Christian education of our kids.

Come join us on Sunday mornings. We also offer a Toddler Class for 2-3 year olds and Pre-K Class for 4-5 year olds during our Sunday Morning service. All children's programs are dismissed following Praise and Worship.

For more information about our Children's Programs contact Rebekah McReynolds our Children's Ministry Leader.

G51 Youth

G51 youth, 6th-12th grade, meets on Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:30 pm in the Children's Education building. This youth group provides a place where everyone is safe, loved, and accepted. Our heart is for each young person to experience the fullness of God and grow in a relationship with Him, so they can become the generation to bring our nation back to Godly roots.

Life Groups

A vital part of our lives here at Church on the Hill is our Life Group Ministry. We believe that small groups facilitate a place for us to build authentic relationships, develop leadership, and grow with God. It is through small group ministry that we develop relationships that allow us to be challenged spiritually, find accountability, and foster encouragement. We believe relationships are a key foundation to our Christian walk. Life Connect provides us a place to grow our relationship with God, our relationships with our church family, and our relationships with our Community. Our groups have a variety of formats including sermon based study, bible study, and relationship building.

Pursing Freedom

Our goals are set according to Luke 4:18-19 and Mark 16:15-18.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

  • A.   To help you to understand who you are in the Lord.
  • B.   To establish communication with a Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (John 10:4,16,27 and Revelation 3:20)
  • C.   To lead you into total healing. Spirit, Soul, and Body (Romans 8:1-2, Isaiah 53:4-6)
  • D.   To walk in the authority Jesus gave us. Luke 10:19
    • 1.   Those who feel they are on the outside looking in.
    • 2.   See a pattern in your life that looks like family patterns that need to stop.
    • 3.   Sad or angry often
    • 4.   Have ongoing problems in relationships
    • 5.   Feeling like your life is going nowhere.
    • 6.   On going sickness.

Outreach & Global Mission

Local Outreach

Hill County Kids Snack Pack

Our vision is to help children who are getting little or no food on the weekends. With 85% of Hillsboro children relying on the free or reduced lunch program, we aim to reach out to those who may otherwise go hungry on the weekends.

We provide each kid with 3 easy meals and a snack. The snack packs are prepared every week from dedicated volunteers from within the church and the community.

Our goal is to be able to reach out to all the schools within the Hill County area. We are currently working closely with Hillsboro HeadStart, Franklin Elementary, Hillsboro Elementary, Hillsboro Intermediate, and Hillsboro Jr. High to help feed 102 kids.

Global Missions

In Mark 16:15 Jesus says, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." We still see this directive as a vital part of the church. We support missionaries in several countries across the globe in places like Mexico, India, Hong Kong, and more. Throughout the year missionaries visit and share the word and what the Lord is doing in these places with us.

We currently support these missionaries and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
